Robertsbridge Arts Partnership (RAP) is a not-for-profit, unincorporated community association.
We exist to celebrate and develop our community’s creativity and culture. We aim to:
● improve access to the visual and performing arts;
● organise and commission cultural events;
● promote awareness of third-party, not-for-profit events
RAP believes the arts includes, but is not limited to: drawing, painting, sculpture, film, music, dance, writing, photography, and theatre. Put simply – art expresses ideas and emotions.
RAP was formed in the early months of 2000 – a significant year for the village as it experienced devastating floods. The founding members were passionate about the importance of the arts to enhance our lives and community spirit. Over the years, as well as professional theatre performances there have been dance, music and literature festivals, a youth theatre, commissions and our annual arts quiz. In 2024 we began offering minibus trips under the banner ‘RAP on Tour’.
