A Light Gothic Play
As far as we know, Lord Byron never set foot in Robertsbridge, yet his restless spirit now wanders the nave and transepts of St. Mary the Virgin, Salehurst.
A former mistress, Claire, has just laid her mother to rest. A secret whispered at the funeral has stirred painful memories of their scandalous affair and instilled a chilling resolve to unearth the truth.
Knowing she cannot face this alone, Claire seeks the help of her stepsister, Mary Shelley. But the past is a sordid, murky thing, and digging for answers requires getting your hands dirty. Are they prepared for what they will unearth?
Join RAP as The CLAIR / OBSCUR Theatre Company share this darkly enchanting tale, in the atmospheric setting of our parish church… the church where the RAP salamander meets his ancestors, forever carved into the stone font.
Tickets £5 – Reserved seating for RAP members
