DAWN CHORUS WALK

blackShed held another Dawn Chorus event this year, hosted by Martin Brockman and supported by Clare Whistler and Charlotte Still. On Sunday 4th May (World Dawn Chorus Day!) at Robertsbridge Clappers Recreation ground, gathering around 4.30am!

Early risers experienced the magic of a dawn chorus; the collective song of various bird species as the day breaks and night comes to an end. Last year the walkers were lucky enough to hear the very rare song of a nightingale, as well as the cuckoo and the nocturnal screech of the tawny owl. We hope to hear about this year’s songs!

This free event forms part of blackShed’s WaterShed Project, a year-long seasonal art and nature community project facilitated by Clare Whistler and Charlotte Still.
