TUESDAY 29th APRIL – De La Warr Pavilion
This was the second popular RAP on Tour event to the De La Warr Pavilion for a wonderful performance of Verdi’s La Traviata from the Ukrainian Opera and Ballet Theatre Kyiv. Superb singers and musicians entertained the audience with an uplifting staging of this famous opera.
As with La Boheme in February, the evening finished with a moving rendition, performers and audience alike, of the Ukrainian national anthem.
Several of our group had not been to see an opera before and were inspired to see more! We aim to bring the arts to more people in our area, and we are delighted to have brought live opera to new ears.
